pallet racking bay

What is a pallet racking bay?

A pallet racking bay is two upright frames joined together with pairs of horizontal beams to create levels on which pallets can be stored. You should always have runs of at least two bays joined together, with at least two beam levels in each bay, for stability and for the manufacturer’s stated load capacities to be valid.

Upright frames are made up of two legs braced together and with footplates attached. Standard depths are 900mm and 1100mm and they can be any height from two metres to fifteen metres (and beyond). Horizontal beams start from 950mm long and are available in a wide variety of sizes, sometimes over 4000mm in length. 2700mm is the most common warehouse racking beam length, but 1350mm, 2250mm and 3300mm are also widely used. The load capacity of the beams ranges from a few hundred kilos to at least three tonnes for a uniformly distributed load (UDL).

If you know the exact sizes and quantities of used pallet racking that you need, we can provide you with a low price quote quickly and without obligation. There are many different manufacturers of warehouse storage equipment, such as Dexion, Link 51, Apex, Redirack and PSS, and none of them are compatible with each other. If you are adding to your existing industrial racking, please let us know what you currently have, or send us a photo and we will find suitable materials to add to it.

We can deliver to any UK mainland address and have vehicles going to all parts of the UK every week. So whether you are in Bradford, Crewe, Maidstone, Middlesbrough or anywhere between, we can give you a great delivered price on a pallet racking bay or a full distribution centre of used Dexion racking.
